A surgery, A promotion, and an award

At the end of March, Harrison had LASIK eye surgery (thank you US Army for picking up the tab)
After 10+ years of wearing glasses, he can now see without them!
I wanted to take one last picture of him in glasses before his surgery.  It's strange our kids will have no memory of their dad wearing glasses (like my dad and that beard he grew once...right, dad?)

In April he was promoted to 1st Lieutenant after now being on active duty for 18 months.
And then after a hard week of performing various tasks, both physical and mental, he received his Expert Infantry Badge. He was one of the 234 soldiers who received the award from the 800+ who went out for the EIB in his Brigade.
We're so proud of Harrison who works so hard everyday.  He's out the door by 5:30 A.M. and works 12 hour days and still makes time to be an amazing husband and father.

I was wondering what surgery meant... I'm glad it was a "good" one. That's awesome that the army pays for that. I bet he is liking it:) Also, the family picture is adorable and you look super cute! That's awesome to hear Harrison hard work is paying off and that he is enjoying it :) Ps. you forgot to mention how awesome you were for being the army wife and mother of 2 handsome young boys :)
