I. Am. Tired.

And I have a bone to pick with social media. Facebook, blogs, and Instagram have made it so easy for us to post all the wonderful things we do. The fabulous meals we cook, the fun crafts we make, the perfect outfit we wore, the kid-friendly outing we went on, how much weight we've lost, the perfect thing we've sewn...the list goes on and on. How easy is it to be discouraged when we see a continuous news feed of all the perfectly perfect things others have done, and we have not?

You know what picture I'd like to see on Instagram? A mom in sweatpants eating Oreos while her kids are watching a movie at 3pm still wearing their PJs. You know you've had days like that before. Let's not be ashamed to admit it.

We are too hard on ourselves as moms. I know I stress over the smallest things sometimes. I get so embarrassed when Jack throws a tantrum, or I find myself worrying about Fisher not speaking yet. I look at my house and tear myself down for it not being as clean as I'd like it to be. I compare myself to others who are "such better moms than me".

Because there really are moms out there who look beautiful and put together everyday. They make every meal from scratch using only organic ingredients. Their house is spotless. They never let their kids watch TV, and they never use their smart phone while their kids are awake. Their kids are perfectly behaved, well-mannered, smart, obedient, healthy eaters, and freshly bathed 100% of the time. Right????

We all have our strengths and weaknesses. We all have good days and bad days. Sometimes I am Super-Mom. Sometimes I am Lazy-Mom. But I know overall, I am a good mom. Say it with me, "I AM A GOOD MOM." We are too hard on ourselves. We are our own worst critics. So stop tearing yourself down, and celebrate the little victories. Tomorrow is always a brand new day. Improve yourself where you feel the need, set goals for yourself, but don't drive yourself crazy about it.

Being a mom is the best job in the world, I am positive of that. It is so fulfilling and rewarding to be responsible for another human being. It is a divine role from God, and we are so blessed to be given the opportunity to raise these sweet, innocent children. I am grateful for my kiddos. I love them so much, I might even have me some more :)

Sincerely,
A happily exhausted mother of two.

P.S. Please keep posting all of your awesomeness on social media. I am in no way saying we shouldn't be able to showcase our talents and achievements!! :)Harrison and Christinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13296688719112018171noreply@blogger.com12tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6848045446871088182.post-22066829135165130472013-04-10T12:47:00.000-07:002013-04-10T12:54:58.037-07:00Deployment updateOkay, it's been four months since my last post.
A very wise woman, whose husband is retired military, told me that the first few months, and the last few months of a deployment are the hardest. I assume every situation is different, but she gave me hope. Because life is so good to me. We are doing really well. We miss Mr. Smith around here like crazy, but we are blessed to be busy, and the kids are my saving grace. Yes, I'm more tired than usual, chasing those munchkins around by myself, but they keep me laughing and fulfilled everyday. This is mostly for my own record keeping, but some may be interested in the details of our deployment experience, so I hope you don't mind me sharing our story on occasion.

The last several days before Harrison left were the worst. Tears, tears, tears. The anticipation was awful. Trying to picture (and trying to ignore) what that final goodbye would be like. How would Jack take it? What would I do? Would Harrison be safe? He was scheduled to leave on November 10th, but we found out a few days before, that he was pushed back a day to November 11th in the evening. Then, a few hours before he was supposed to report, we received notice that his flight was pushed back to the next morning. So we wake up on the morning of the 12th (Veteran's day of all days) to find out his flight had been pushed back again another four hours. And every time we had a change of plans, our first thought was, "Yay! More time together!" Then the thought that quickly followed was, "Oh no, I have to start this goodbye process all over again..." Yuck. It was a roller coaster of emotions for three days. When it was time for him to leave, we had my sister in law (thank you, Liz!) come sit with the boys at our house, and Harrison said his goodbyes to them there. That was hard. I hate thinking about how much older and how different they'll be when he gets back. But thankfully Jack was excited to play with his cousin, so he had some distraction. We left and grabbed a quick lunch, and drove up to post, only to find out, we were STILL TWO HOURS EARLY. Are you feeling my pain yet, people? Let's just get this over with, already! We had already eaten, and we didn't want to drive the 20 minutes back home to have him say goodbye to the boys again, so we got dessert somewhere and talked for awhile, then went to the store and got him a few last minute things for his trip. While we were out, Harrison was in uniform, and a sweet man thanked him for his service. I wanted to yell, "Yeah, and he's deploying today!" haha, but I know Harrison would've killed me. He's much too humble for that kind of attention.

When it was finally, finally time to go back to his office, there were many Soldiers and families there spending what time they had left together, and everyone was trying to keep the mood light. With the send off of the deployment, there are no big ceremonies, just simple and private goodbyes. I was doing some FRG tasks, and talking with other military wives, while Harrison was working on getting his men organized with last minute things. His company had a final formation, (roll call) and then it was time. Our goodbye was simple and sweet. (I'll spare you the mushy stuff). By this point, we were both ready to get this deployment started, so we could begin the countdown. That first night was not a fun one, I'll be honest. But I am so blessed. I have great friends who are going through this right along with me, and we find comfort in our common situation. My family and Harrison's family have been so incredibly supportive. Friends who live far away have made such an effort to reach out to me, and let me know they were thinking of me. I think one day in particular, I had four friends call me - some of which I hadn't talked to in months! I felt so loved. And my friends here at church have lifted me up so much. Everyone has offered (and insisted!) on watching the boys to give me a little break - and I hope they know their kindness has not gone unnoticed.

I have had a few bad days, but the good days have far outweighed the bad! I am so blessed to talk to Harrison pretty often through email or on Skype. He is loving what he is doing there, and does such a good job of telling me what his missions are like, so I feel apart of his day to day life. But he's also very good at not worrying me with the details of what he's doing. haha.

One month down, eight to go!
We've got this.
So far, so good.
Anyone who has spent time with you at all, would say you're such a good, sweet baby. You are always happy and easy-going. You love to snuggle! You constantly make your way on to my lap just to give me a quick squeeze and often rest your head on my shoulder. You love playing with your big brother Jack. You are eating and sleeping well, which explains the 24 pounds on your little body. You love walking around, and trying to keep up with Jack.

We had fun celebrating your birthday last weekend, and you would not put your cupcake down until it was finished.

Thanks, Emma for the great pictures!
Harrison and Christinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13296688719112018171noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6848045446871088182.post-31201608296047016942012-10-14T22:28:00.000-07:002012-10-14T22:28:30.032-07:00I can do hard things.I've been putting this post off for months, and trying to decide how to go about it. So, here goes:

Harrison will be leaving next month for a deployment to Afghanistan for nine months.
It turns out that sentence is difficult to both say, and type. No wonder I've been avoiding telling people. There have been rumors about this deployment since we moved here nearly a year ago, but it was made official about 6 months ago. I kept telling myself, "It's so far away, don't think about it now..." but now that he will be leaving in a matter of weeks, I'm doing my best to be realistic about it.

The Bad (and probably the most obvious)
Nine months is a long time apart. A very, very long time.
Afghanistan is one of the most dangerous places in the world to be right now, and Harrison is in the Infantry branch of the Army, meaning it is he and his guys who will be on the ground, doing the majority of the fighting and missions in his area. I try not to dwell on that part.
I worry about my boys being away from their dad for so long. Even if Skype is available, it's obviously not the same as Harrison being here to play and interact with them.
I worry about myself as a single parent. I feel exhausted just thinking about it.

The Good
My family is two hours away, and Harrison's brother and his wife are 15 minutes away. I am thankful for these blessings everyday.
I have so much to keep me busy while Harrison is gone - the boys, church responsibilities, teaching within Jack's co-op preschool group, and being the Family Readiness Group Leader for Harrison's company (which is looking after the well-being of the 120+ Soldiers' families).
I have a support system here of friends whose husbands will also be deployed - we'll be in this together.
My church community is awesome. There are so many members who I know will look out for my little family.
His deployment is only 9 months. I say that because some of these men have had deployments that have lasted as long as 18 months.

The Great
Harrison has trained for this for a long time. He is honored to serve, and I am honored to be married to him. This is his profession. When many people hear he is deploying, their response is "I'm sorry..." He definitely is not sorry to be going. Of course, he doesn't want to leave his family, but he has prepared for this, and is looking forward to fighting for our country. I'm so proud of him and what he does. He is so passionate about defending our freedoms, and protecting our blessed nation. We are honored to join the cause in which so many soldiers and families have sacrificed. Realizing that Harrison is not the first who has had to leave his home and serve, we are grateful for those who have gone before to keep this nation safe and free.

So, it's time to put my big girl pants on. I can do hard things. And as Harrison's awesome Battalion Commander said to some of us wives recently, "You are not victims. You are some of the greatest people in the world. Your husband is leaving and you're going to stay home and kick ... [butt] while he's gone."

I have good days and bad days as we prepare for the months ahead, but for now we're taking advantage of the time we have together.
I'm usually not the "tutorial type" of blogger, but I had to share this one with you. A little shout out to my friend, Pinterest for helping me. Our guest bed is a bed we inherited from Harrison's grandmother when we got married and I've been wanting to upgrade the headboard. It was a little time consuming, especially when it came to individually nailing in the trim, but I love the end results!

Original headboard - in great shape, I just wanted to modernize it a bit

I cut foam (I think one inch thick...) to fill in the inside of the already framed headboard and glued it to the wood

Then I covered the entire headboard with quilting batting
and used a staple gun to staple it in the back, then repeated the same
step with fabric, making sure it was really tight.

Then I individually nailed every single nailhead for the trim by hand. It also
comes as attached rows of nailheads that would have been faster, but
in my opinion it didn't look quite as nice. For each nailhead, I first
took a real nail and hammered it in a bit to "pave the way" for the nailhead trim and I found the trim went in much easier. It took about 250
nails, a rubber mallet, and two nights of Olympics watching, to finish
the trim but I love it!

Please slow down! I swear it was only yesterday, I became a mom for the first time to a sweet, little, blue-eyed boy. He was a little chunk who could sleep in my arms, and I knew exactly how to make him stop crying. For entertainment, Harrison and I would just watch him sleep and play, and we couldn't get enough of him.

Now, that baby will be four in a few months. He makes us laugh everyday with his silly voices, funny jokes, and curiosity. He loves anything to do with a ball, singing, dancing, and superheroes. As of late, he calls Harrison Captain America, I am Fantastic Four (which yes, I realize is four people), and it's only when he is Batman, that Fisher becomes Robin.

Where have the years gone? As much as I love the little boy Mr. Jack is becoming, I'm sad to know he is growing up!

Sincerely,
The Mother of a Preschooler

It was so great to spend so much time with my Smith family who hasn't all been together (although we missed McKay!) since Christmas 2010! This was the first time Mom and Dad Smith have met Fisher since they are living so far away in the U.A.E. near Dubai. Thanks for a wonderful week! Hoping it won't be another year and a half until we're together again!

The first week was spent with the Poulson clan in Eagle Crest, OR - outside of Bend.
The resort we stayed at had so much to do!
We spent the week playing tennis, swimming, hiking, white water rafting, playing games, and watching movies.
Mom and Dad Smith, Kalee, and Boston had come into town a couple days before we got home, and were staying at our house so we all met up at a park halfway between my parents house in Vancouver, and our house in Lacey. Harrison's parents and my parents were friends before we even met (in fact, that's how we met!) so we couldn't pass up a chance to get everyone together!

We had such a blast during "Poulson week"! We miss Linds and JW so much - since we only get to see them once or twice a year. Thanks mom and dad for the awesome week!Harrison and Christinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13296688719112018171noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6848045446871088182.post-51455706462439230902012-07-15T20:50:00.001-07:002012-07-15T20:50:54.160-07:00Weekend Project

When Harrison and I were first married and living the poor student,
Provo life, we needed two items of furniture desperately. A dresser and
a desk. One day, (I think it was even my birthday...) we were driving
home, and a huge student complex was taking out all of their old
furniture to bring in new pieces. And what was in their parking lot?
Dozens and dozens of dressers and desks. They were going to be taken
to Goodwill, but anyone who wanted them could take them. Being the low
budget newlyweds we were, we were pumped to find the very pieces we
needed for our little basement apartment. This desk was definitely past
its prime and after 4 years of trying to ignore it, we finally gave it a
makeover. A couple trips to Home Depot, a bit of paint, new hardware,
and we love it!

We dropped off the kiddos at my parents' house that morning (THANK YOU POULSON GANG!!) and went to the Portland LDS Temple, then headed off to hike all day. Harrison planned a couple of hikes that he really wanted to do, and the weather was perfect! Which is truly a blessing here in the Northwest. The first hike he wanted to do was through a slot canyon - a first for me. We started walking along the stream, with the water ankle deep. It was cold, but so shallow that it wasn't a big deal. Then we came to a HUGE log jam that we had to climb over to get to our end goal at the end of the stream, lower Oneonta waterfall. Our feet were slippery, and if you fell off, it would definitely hurt, to say the least. It was [really] scary at times!! Once we got through that part, people were hiking back from the waterfall, soaking wet. We asked how high the water got, and someone said up their neck. Now, we definitely weren't planning for this. We knew it was possible, but knowing it was July we figured (or maybe I just hoped) that the water wouldn't be that high, but soon we got to the part of the stream that I could tell I would basically have to swim through because the water was so deep! Besides the fact that the water was freezing cold, I was wearing a white shirt, people. Considering we still had a 5 mile hike ahead of us, I wasnt going to be able to get through this part alone. So Harrison, being the superman that he is, carried our backpack with our lunch in it to the safe side of the stream, and came back to give me a piggyback ride across the deepest part. I have never loved him so much. I still got wet a little above my waist, but it was a much better alternative. The waterfall was beautiful, and after hanging out there for a while (and Harrison swimming - crazy!) we headed back out of the slot canyon the same way we came in. Then we continued on our other hikes in beautiful Oregon! We kept saying all day that we officially felt like Northwesterners now.
Then we went back into town, went to dinner, saw a movie, and stayed the night in a cute little hotel. When we went back Sunday morning to pick up the boys, we realized that was the longest time Harrison and I have been alone together since before Jack was born! We've done over night trips before, but they were even shorter than 24 hours. It was a much needed, welcomed break!
Happy birthday to my sweet, successful, spiritual, hunky husband. Thanks for choosing me! Love you!
Our Fisher is now 8 months old!
He is all over the place!
He's not officially crawling, but he gets on all fours and sort of lunges himself forward..gets on all fours, and lunges...needless to say, he gets where he wants to go.
He LOVES sleeping on his side, and is being so nice to me, sleeping 12 hours at night and 3 naps a day.
He still doesn't mind his car seat, but he is so heavy to haul around in there. At his last check-up he was 22 pounds, and I'm guessing he's packed on a few more since.
He is the happiest baby you'll ever meet, but if a stranger gets a smile out of him, it is a triumph. He gets very serious, stern looks about him, but smiles all the time around those he knows.
He has two teeth on the bottom, and I'm sure more will make an appearance soon because he's putting everything in his mouth. His favorite? Jack's shoes. Gross.
His favorite way of showing affection (or maybe that he's just really hungry...) is grabbing your hair, cheeks, nose - whatever he can reach - and pulling your face in to give you a very sweet, very slobbery, open mouthed kiss.
We love you, Fisher Vaun!!
Surprise, surprise.
This time for a month, and starting Thursday, we will have zero communication until he's on his way home.
He's training at the NTC (National Training Center) at Ft. Irwin, CA.
We're definitely not strangers to being apart.
In fact, I was thinking today that by the time he gets home, we will have been apart 5 out of the past 11 months.
Definitely the most we've experienced in such a short time frame.
But I am almost certain that longer periods apart are in our future.

Many people I talk to (mostly non-military) say something along the lines of "I bet you're used to him being gone by now..."
Nope, I'm definitely not.
I still hate sleeping alone, it's still hard being a single parent, and I miss him like crazy when he's away.
So even though I'm not exactly "used to him being gone," I'm getting much better at it.
Much, much, better.
I've learned to stay busy.
I get all my crafting, deep cleaning, book reading, Gilmore Girl watching done while he's gone.
And I have to get out of the house.
This means showering, wearing real clothes, putting on make-up, and doing something away from home.
Sounds like a small task, but when you don't have a husband to look good for at the end of the day, it can be daunting.
I am trying to think of places to take my kids.
Jack gets cabin fever, and with all this rain we're having (where are you, summer?) I have to get creative in getting his energy out.
We go to the children's museum, indoor playgrounds, bowling, or even McDonald's to play in the play equipment.
And if that means I have to buy a vanilla cone while I'm there, so be it...

When Jack plays, he naps.
When he naps, he's happy.
When he's happy, I'm happy.

I also feel so blessed to have friends here to go out with and let our kiddos play together, and other military wives that can relate to my situation. And I think the biggest blessing I have living here, is being by family. Harrison's brother and his family live 10 miles away, and my family is two hours away. They give me the sanity I need while Harrison is gone!!

I know one day we'll move, and have more kids, and Harrison will be gone longer, and maybe to a more dangerous place. But for now, I'm figuring this separation thing out the best way I can, and I'm feeling so blessed.
At the end of March, Harrison had LASIK eye surgery (thank you US Army for picking up the tab)

After 10+ years of wearing glasses, he can now see without them!

I wanted to take one last picture of him in glasses before his surgery. It's strange our kids will have no memory of their dad wearing glasses (like my dad and that beard he grew once...right, dad?)

And then after a hard week of performing various tasks, both physical and mental, he received his Expert Infantry Badge. Was it really almost 3 years ago?
Fisher is such a good baby. Have I mentioned that?
Yesterday I went to visit some women from my church. I was gone for about 3 hours, and went to 3 different homes.
I am still (somehow, since he's huge) able to carry Fisher in his infant car seat so I brought him into the houses in it, and kept him there. No complaining from him.
Even when, a few minutes into visit #2, I could tell he did a big number in his diaper. Still he was patient, waiting for me to change him.
Then, during visit number #3, he even fell asleep. In his car seat.
With his dirty [horribly bad] diaper. See? Good baby.

He is a rolling, scooting machine.
This month we finally got him hooked on formula. Halleluiah.
I nurse at night if he happens to wake up (still working on that some nights) and usually one other time during the day, but he mostly takes bottles. And I'm not ashamed to admit that I love it. Jack can make him laugh harder than anyone else, and I cant wait until they can really play together.
I wanted an Easter picture of the boys after church, but it was everybody's nap time (including mine) so we didn't put much time into it.
Maybe next year I'll be more prepared...
I swear just yesterday I was a Senior in high school, hanging out with friends, staying up late, and was most concerned about my plans for the upcoming weekend.
Now I'm a twenty something, married woman, mother of two...When did that happen?
Life is a little harder now, a bit more complicated, but a 100 times better than it was when I was 18.
I was thinking about this a lot on my birthday this year.

Jack was kind enough to share his cold germs with his little brother, and Fisher's poor little body was not taking it well. I woke up last Tuesday to his horrible wheezing, coughing, and more throwing up (this had become a daily occurrence). I took him to the doctor who then sent me to the ER to get x-rays to check for pneumonia. That thought was slightly terrifying. Something about the words "baby" and "pneumonia" being in the same sentence makes me nervous. Luckily he was completely fine, just a bad virus he needed to get through. And it only took a measly 5.5 hours at the ER to find this out. My mom came to town to watch the boys for us while we escaped to Seattle for the Darius Rucker (for Harrison) Lady Antebellum (for me) concert. Our plans of a fancy dinner downtown turned into a drive-thru run at Taco Bell because we were running short on time due to our visit at the hospital, but it was a such a fun evening (and a much needed date night with my husband). Thanks to mom for watching my sickie boys that night, and to Liz for watching Jack basically the whole day.

Jack hates when we call him "Jackie boy".

He always says, "No I'm not Jackie Boy, I'm Jack!"

He is hilarious. He comes up with the funniest things to say.

Like the other day when he was downstairs, and I was in his room, picking up a couple of things off his floor, then moved on to my room.

He comes upstairs, looks in his room, comes to me, grabs my hand, and asks,

"Awh mom, did you clean my room?"

"Yes, I did."

"Thanks mom" (in a "you-didn't-have-to-do-that" sort of voice)

Then proceeded to shake my hand and walk away.

Or this morning when he said, "I'm thirsty."

I said, "okay, I'll get you some juice."

to which he replied (a little condescendingly, I might add) "oh no no no no no, I'll have chocolate milk."

My mistake...

And Mr. Smarty Pants wrote his own name last week!

Our sweet Fisher was given a priesthood baby blessing at our home by his dad. Also in the circle was my Dad, Harrison's brother Patrick, and our ward Bishop. Between moving into our new house, the holidays, a freak snow storm, and Harrison's month-long absence,
we were finally able to bless our new baby boy. It was so great to have family here with us, and we missed those who live so far away!
I thought, "4 months...he's almost 6 months...he's almost one!!!"
Luckily, that's not the case, and he still has quite awhile before he reaches that milestone.
For now he's just my little chunk who is happy all the time.
He is constantly smiling at anyone who looks at him, and it goes through his entire body like he can't contain his excitement, and he eventually is forced to look away as if he was being bashful. I just love it.
Whenever he does cry, I let him let it all out for a little bit, just because I'm not used to hearing his sweet little cries.
We are still working on consistent sleeping through the night, however.
He does well often, but it's still hit and miss with him.
I can tell he's anxious to get up and go play with his brother. When I put him on his tummy, he starts to get up on his toes, and when he's propped up on a pillow on his back he tries to use his elbows to sit up! And this morning when he woke up, I found him about a foot closer to the head of his crib then where I left him. He must have used his little heels to push his way up!
Smith has left us again for more training out in the field.
This time for only a month.
Is it strange that I was excited to hear it was only a month??
Last night at dinner Jack said, "Daddy leaves so much."
...insert heartbreak here...
Poor guy is getting old enough now to realize when Harrison is gone.
Hopefully one day he'll understand how important his Daddy's job really is.
But until that time we'll make paper chains to count down the days until his return.
Maybe it'll help me too :)
I was talking it up to him all morning trying to get him excited (or trying to get myself excited, since I had an exam too, for the first time in....a long time). And he LOVED it! They didn't do much - just got him used to sitting in the chair and showed him what the dental tools did. The dentist counted his teeth and he was so proud to tell everyone that day that he had "twenty teeth! Ten on top, ten on bottom!"

And in late December, Jack made his first visit to a different kind of doctor...in the ER. He swallowed a dime! He was sitting at the table drinking chocolate milk, and I was in the kitchen with my back to him, and I heard him kinda mumbling to himself, "money, money, money..." Then I heard a tiny gag - it sounded more like a little cough, and he starting whining a little bit and looked really nervous. I asked what was wrong and he said, "I ate money!" So using my mothering detective skills I grabbed a bunch of coins and asked him which kind he ate. He picked up the dime and said, "the little one." I was trying so hard not to laugh at this point (he was fine, people, I promise) and I asked him how he ate the money. He said, "It wanted to swim in his chocolate milk." Oh boy...

A quick trip to the ER to "take a picture of his tummy", make sure it would pass through him okay, and a few days later we found this little surprise in the toilet.

..It's because we didn't make any.

It didn't quite make it to the top of my priority list this year.

Having a newborn, I chose sleep instead, silly me.

Crossing my fingers for next year.

But I LOVED getting all of yours. They are all on my fridge, where they will remain for many weeks to come because I miss you all so much.

2011 was the craziest, most uncertain [at times], challenging, wonderful, most traveled year to date.

And I loved it.

Our moves across the country looked like this:

We have loved living by nearly every member of both the Smith and Poulson families at some point during this year.

We loved living in Las Vegas and celebrating Jack's second birthday there. He hit so many milestones this year: potty training, moving from his crib to a big boy bed, learning all his letters, shapes, colors, and numbers; and speaking in full sentences, constantly. He'll be three in just a few short weeks.

The Army then took our little family to Fort Benning, GA - my first experience of southern living. Once I accepted the humidity and ginormous cockroaches that could fly I absolutely loved it. We also traveled to Savannah, GA, Tybee Island, GA, Hilton Head, SC and Nashville, TN in the 6 months we lived there. I still miss the southern summer thunderstorms, the "yes, ma'ams" and the gorgeous greenery.

Harrison completed a lifelong goal of his - Ranger School.

Watch this video so you know how studly he really is. Ranger School is one of the hardest schools in the Army and he did so well, I am so proud of him.

While he was there, Jack and I spent a few months with my family as we welcomed the best part of our year, Fisher Vaun into the world. He is such a sweet, cheerful baby. Harrison missed the birth by 36 hours, but we have seen many blessings come from that experience for which we will always be thankful.

Now we have ended 2011 in our new home near Fort Lewis, WA. Unlike when we lived on-post in Georgia, we're about 10 miles south of the military base in Lacey. We are loving it here, and even more excited that all of 2012 will be spent under the same roof.

Side note: the doctor told me yesterday that the recommended age to keep your child in a rear-facing car seat has changed from one year to TWO YEARS OLD. Does this seem ridiculous to anyone else??Harrison and Christinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13296688719112018171noreply@blogger.com2
